How do the maths tutorial sessions work?

All tutorial sessions are delivered online using a virtual whiteboard on which the tutor and tutee can write and draw. The tutor and child communicate via an internet phone call – e.g. Skype or WhatsApp.

What equipment do I need for the online tutorial sessions?

An iPad, laptop with touch-screen or similar, including a stylus so the child to participate.

Is there a free trial tutorial?

Yes, I can offer a fifteen minute session for free to make sure the technology works for you and that you are comfortable with my tutoring style and that it will suit your child.

How do I book an online tutorial?

Once we have established that online tutoring will work for you we can schedule one or more sessions. I am based in London but accommodate any location worldwide.

How do I pay?

You can book and pay in advance to secure a session. I will email you a link for payment. Sessions can be cancelled or moved to another time including up to the last minute.

Years 3 & 4 sessions are £35 for a 40 minute session.

Years 5 & 6 sessions are £45 for one hour.

Discounts are available when booking multiple sessions – e.g. a series of six.

Each session is followed with an email containing feedback and suggested next steps including any homework ahead of the next session.

Do you also do face-to-face tutorials?

Yes, which we can discuss if that’s your preference (I am based in South East London).
